Nick Paul got told he can buy a house in Ottawa so I doubt he's goes, and trading a young goalie like Hogberg is dumb even if we're getting a backup to replace him. I doubt Ottawa is the team that takes on Reimer's contract, unless Nilsson is gone which I also find unlikely.

Way to much for Lehner and why not resign Vatanen instead of Tanev?

I think that's what Lehner will get unless a team gives him 6.5Mx7. I feel like it's risky to sign goalies for 7 years though. I'd prefer to increase the AAV.

Vatanen is an offensive D man. He wouldn't pair will with Gardiner at all.

We have good goalie depth behind Hogberg and the two 2nds can't be ignored.

I'm not ignoring the two seconds but we absolutely do not have good goalie depth behind Hogberg. Anderson is most likely retiring. Gustavsson seems to only get worse every year. Daccord had a good year, starting in the ECHL, then moving to AHL backup to AHL starter, but saying he's NHL ready as soon as next season, while not impossible, is a stretch, and we don't want to ruin his development by throwing him in the NHL too early. Mandolese will not jump from the QMJHL to the NHL and probably starts the year in the ECHL. Sogaard had a down year in the WHL and is unsigned. That leaves us with only Nilsson as our only other NHL goalie.

Gustavsson needs NHL minutes and time with the NHL goalie coaches to see if he is good enough.

No. WAY too much for Lehner, Reimer is better than Nilsson, That detroit trade is horrific. Dzingel, when he was used properly, was top 4 among forwards in scoring. Just no. Williams is going to retire, you don't have Fleury/Bean. Signing Tanev is just no, especially to that. All in all this is pretty bad

That's how much Lehner's gonna cost. You can find a different goalie if you want.

    Took out the Reimer trade.

Detroit trade is fair considering Dzingel is a very streaky player and Mrazek is basically a backup getting paid 3M+.

Changed Tanev to van Riemsdyk to save money.
