Not enough for ADA. It’ll take one of your better prospects to pry him away after the season he just had.

5.25m for 4 years for a player who averages 40 points and 20 goals ?
He's a higher paid version of MTL's Paul Byron averaging similar numbers.

I'd like JS because he's a a top 9 guy with consistency issues but still good
Byrons a bottom 6 guy who can play a 2nd line role for short stints during injury

I'd do a deal but i think it would have to be for less if ANA doesnt retain 2m atleast
I'd offer a 2021 2nd round pick and a 5th if ANA cant retain but Given the Cap space left in a rebuilding team
Its just easier to retain 2m and call it square

Why would Rangers give up Tony D a proven top offensive defenseman in the NHL for an unproven defenseman with only a 2nd round pick ...thats crazy. Your so far off on value.

You guys overvalue Tony wayyyy too much. Obviously the package is a little light but a top prospect? Not a chance.

Dont think Habs gove you thier 2 earliest 2nd round picks for Silverberg. One 2nd for sure, but he is an expensive player that would be in our bottom 6 within a couple years.

Rangers dont even consider that offer.

Manson to the Leafs has been around for ever, always interesting to an Anaheim fans perspective

deangelo was on pace for 60 this year but was on pace for 42 last year he is expected to be 50-60 points right handed defenceman. This offer is horrible the starting offer you would need to throw up is rickard rakell and maybe a little more. You are not getting a 24 year old 42+ point defenceman.

Deangelo also started 56% of his shifts in the ozone and yet still only had a corsi for % of 48. That’s not good.

Moving Mason for Kapanen is simply because we are weaker in depth on the right side, he is young and can be a top 6 winger; while Mason is going to be 30 near the end of his contract and want a raise. No point in keeping him around during a rebuild even though we have no one really as a RHD, we can get someone younger, cheaper and build around them and let them develop with the rest of the youth. Sell him while he has value and yes I know Mason to leafs has been around for a long time, so why not give the leafs what they want in a cheap RHD and we get a younger winger on the right side instead of being over stocked with LW.

I feel everyone over values Deangelo... I am not saying he is bad, he is a great offensive D and with the Rangers already having a strong hold with Trouba & Fox, he will become the odd man out eventually. With him being an RFA and wanting a raise, it could be an option to move him. The rangers HAVE top 9 forwards in all positions and giving them someone like Jones, Steel, Comtois, Terry doesn't fill any need for areas they want to improve on. Steel isn't going to replace Strome, Zibanejad or Chytil. What do you want to do Rangers fans, have Kakko, Kravstov, Gautheir, Kreider, Panarin, Buchnevich, Lemuix and Howden bugger off for the likes of either Max's and Terry. Rangers need a LHD who is young and can fit their system. Larsson may not put up the points that Deangelo would BUT he sure can help them over the expensive aging Staal or Smith. Given that you also get a high round 2nd pick in a deep draft year when we are trading UNSIGNED RFA's I would say this is pretty fair.

Silfverberg has been on the Habs radar for a few years now. They have youth, they have talent but they need stability and consistency with a player who covers all areas of the ice, can pull off 40pts a season and still manage to shutdown top players while clocking 16-20 minutes a night. There isn't a prospect you would give up outside of another pick. Brook, Fleury and Juulsen are all players we would want in the trade, would you rather give them up over a two 2nd round picks. Maybe it would be St. Louis pick and either Habs or Hawks 2nd but given what other teams got for lesser players this is a deal that the Habs can afford to make without messing their prospects, system or future.

doesnt change he is a 3rd defencemen right now and one of the best offensive in the league. His value is still there any wont change because someone doesnt agree with it. You have to give to the teams needs and wants not just your own and favour as such.

Nothing that you said changes the fact that Deangelo is overrated based on his point total. How do you start that often in the ozone and still have a negative corsi?

As a ducks fan would you consider a package where the primary return for Manson was Dermott? Probably with the addition of picks/prospects but a young guy who is going to be cheap and under control for many years to come

No. Dermott isn't anywhere near replacing Fowler or Lindholm soon and isn't clearly better than current LD's we are auditioning: Djoos and Larsson in particular, but both Josh Mahura and Jackson LaCombe are on the horizon. Not to mention the possibility that Brendan Guhle may pan out after all.

I never said a top prospect. I simply said one of your better. And your best prospect isn’t necessarily a top prospect in the nhl.

Rangers aren’t a possession team— everybody knows this. He’s +2 compared to the rest of his team. If you actually look at his defensive metrics he’s been good. Just saying, the offer is Larsson (look at his metrics I mean come on) and a 2nd just doesn’t move the needle
