No thanks from the jets imo, samberg going to be a beast, undersized winger with hands, jets have plenty

No way RNH is getting moved for those pieces, And Dylan DeMelo gets at least 4 x 3.5 no way he signs that cheaply.

Agreed, if this was the offer from the Jets, Edmonton should jump on it.

I would get over sending that package somewhere, but it better check a few more boxes coming back. Nothing against Nugent-Hopkins but he’s not a 2c either, he’s best on the wing with draisaitle

I guess you haven't seen the LHD depth chart over in Edmonton...

Would be a good trade for the Jets but the Oilers should be trying to resign RNH and they have no use for Samberg.

Idk who's LD and RD on their team but Samberg has a higher potential than every d man in that organization not named Bear or Bouchard

Nope. He's not better than Nurse or Klefbom or Jones (although he has potential to exceed Jones) today, and he doesn't have more potential than Broberg. He's probably vying with Samorukov for a future 7th defenseman job.

ofc he's not better than them today (except probably Jones) but he was one of the 3-5ish best DFD's in the NCAA, and has an ok offensive touch, and yes he does have a higher potential than Broberg... Broberg has like negative hockey IQ, he's so predictable, he was struggling badly in the SHL (even compared to similar age kids)

This goes against what the experts and scouts are saying. Do you watch Skeleftea live or are you just making sh*t up?

Yes I've watched Skellefteå, and everyone I've talked to has said he hasn't been good since the Hlinka and showing the occasional flashes at the WJC (which is really all the "experts" watch...)

He's 18 and playing in the 3rd best mens league in the world. Samberg is miles behind.

Broberg as an 18-year-old:

March 2020 – On paper, Broberg’s one goal and eight points in 40 SHL games sounds mediocre when in fact that is solid production for an SHL rookie who will not be 19-years-old until late June. For an Oiler comparison, Oscar Klefbom, Edmonton’s top defenseman, recorded just two points in 33 SHL games in his draft plus one season and that was after playing 23 SHL games in his draft year. For other comparables... Erik Karlsson recorded 10 points in 45 SHL games after being drafted. No one is saying that Broberg is the second coming of Erik Karlsson but these comparisons do illustrate that his production is fair for a defender his age. Broberg’s one point in seven World Junior games this year is underwhelming but with that being said, too much stock is often put on international tournament performances... he is one of the best defensemen in his age group. - Jameson Ewasiuk

Samberg as a 21-year-old:

April 2020 – Samberg signed a three-year entry level contract with the Jets and it would appear he is set to make the jump to the pro level next year. Before he is ready for the NHL, Samberg will need to improve his foot speed to be able to compete with the quickness around the league. Expect him to be at Jets training camp in September, but it could be an extended stay with the Moose before he acclimates to the pace of the game. - Jamie Zadow

You can keep him. We'll keep RNH, thanks.

Broberg can't get the puck out of his zone, plus he is brutal defensively, plus RNH has not been good before this year, you can keep you're career year guy, we'll keep our close to NHL ready future top 4 d man and first rounder

That's a whole lotta biased homerism wrapped up in one run-on sentence!
