Why does Toronto want Kahun? I also think signing the Euro defensemen kinda took the young RD slot. This trade is kinda bad for Toronto now. Liljegren is a better trade piece in a deal to get a top 4 RD like Manson, Savard or Montour.

kahun is more flexible than kapenan and can play in a top 6 role as the LW of Tavares or Matthews. The issue is unless Kapenan plays RW he can never be a top 6 here as we tried to let him be a LW with Tavares and he struggled hard. In Buffalo he can easily becomes top 6. Jokijarju's contract would be toronto's main interest and the fact he and Lehtonen played together and were dominate. Overall one team gets the better defenseman and the other gets the better winger.

I don't think Liljegren is a "worse" defensemen at this point. It's way to early to say that. Tor Passes.

Buffalo would pass on this really quick. Jokiharju has way too much potential. Montour, Risto and Miller are the RHD they'll shop, likely in that order.
