I would trade for PJ for like a 3rd...
Which means you fall in line with the Oilers' brainthink over the past decade. Sell assets for less than their value because you don't like them.
Edmonton undersold on Hemsky and Petry when they were dealt. They pissed all of Schultz's and Dubnyk's value away before trading them too. Yakupov was lampooned until the team couldn't get anything back for him. The Eberle trade was a disaster effectively created by local media in the wake of a very stupid Hall trade. Funny how Edmonton's been hard up for scoring wingers since. You're lying if you think Larsson and Athanasiou represents fair value for Hall and Eberle.
If the Oilers- and specifically the fans - want to see this team be successful, getting maximum value in every deal must be the goal. Pressuring the team to do the right thing needs to be the goal. They won't win every trade, but they need to quit losing them as badly as they have in the past. Turning Puljujarvi into either a maximum return or contributing winger are the only solutions to this current problem.
