It looks like the Sharks forgot that only 12 forwards can play in Barracuda, not 20...

AHL teams goe through more forwards than NHL teams due to development. You can easily have 20 guys play 30+ games.
What happens is guys that clearly aren't there get sent to the EHL after a short try and stint of like 10 games.
Just look at http://www.wbspenguins.com/player-stats/
They had like 23 or so forwards play. That's common for AHL teams. Guys get moved, some get bumped to to injury, younger guys get limited ice time while they work on building strength.
They are turning into true development teams not, not simply AHL teams. The rosters are getting much younger etc..
So I wouldn't worry about it.

2020-2021 San Jose Sharks will just be the Russian National Team in Sharks uniforms.

Potentially we could have a Russian Five in the Barracuda and in the NHL simultaneously. Chekhovich, Chmelevski (half Ukrainian) Spiridonov,Kniazev, Knyzhov, Ibragimov, Melnichuk, Kotkov, Yurtaykin, Ivanyuzhenkov and Letunov.

Not to mention guys like Chmelevski, Blichfeld, Knyzhov and Bergmann will be up and down to the nhl since the AHL affiliate is in the same building. Someone has to take those spots.
