What do you think, especially of the Murray deal?

a lot of turnover a team that was on a 100+ point pace despite Crosby missing 28 games, guentzel missing 30 games, malkin missing 14 games, rust missing 14 games etc.

Come on, he was looking at Murray at the trade deadline with two injured goalies. Colorado has two healthy goalies now therefore Murray is not an option

What would Colorado offer, in your opinion, for Murray?
As mentioned, COL does have 2 goalies, so the package would start with Grubauer probably. Murray being an RFA opposed to the UFA Grubauer should give Murray more value as the 2 are comparable goalies.

What? Look at Riikola’s stats! He is a fine 2 way defenseman who would great on a pairing wit Him Lehtonen. He’s way better than Jack Johnson it’s just the coach hates him.

Legare has top 6 Forward potential. He could be as good as Kapanen.

The only major move is the Kapanen addition. Everything else is just tweaks to get rid of useless / overpaid guys.

I think so because Grubauer would essentially be a rental.

I doubt they move both DeSmith and Murray at the same time. I know they get Grub back, but they have no depth at the goalie position currently. Their prospects are too young and the only guy of any value they have is D'Oreo who has not looked like an NHL guys at this point and is clearly not ready. But he's young.

I think the TOR trade is fair. But they won't do that, even if they want to create space. They will dump someone else. Johnsson is my bet on who they move.

avs are not moving one of their most NHL ready prospects plus statically the better goalie in Grubauer for an expensive RFA in Murray and another over paid 3rd liner.
