The only way you get that pick is to trade one of Draistail or Mcdavid!

So you understand the situation here! Ottawa would have absolutely no interest in that return.

in general Puljarvi does not have much value and people need to understand that. In 3 seasons of the NHL he has not impressed for the 4th overall pick of 2016. In truth other Gm's will probs offer lower picks for him as they know he wants out of Edmonton and can use that as leverage. I would pay a late 3rd for him but even that is a risk as sure he got 53 points in Liga but that wont mean he will do well when he returns to the NHL.

As for JP value, I think OTT is one of like 2 teams that could take a flyer on him and "overpay" according to CF currently value. They have so many picks they might be willing to gamble on him. As for wants out of Edmonton that's fine and all but I find it more likely he returns to EDM to prove to teams he has value then for Holland to take a lowball offer.

But you don’t get the situation right i think. Since in the first place that offer was bullshat and Ottawa would actually ask for one of Draistail or Mcdavid for that pick. So i really don’t see why you are arguing about it.

I didn't make the trade and I never said it was good.. you said that pick required McD or Drai.. I said McD or Drai would require both top picks and more.. I literially just pulled a reverse on you.. OTT isn't trading the picks and EDM isnt trading the best players in the NHL..

Winnipeg has better options than a 6/7 D counting 4 million against the salary cap with Russell

nobody is paying a 1st let alone a 2nd for him and he doesnt want to play for the team so I guess he is staying in Liga. If holland values Pujujarvi that high than he is never going to deal him. Sure he was the 4th overall pick but so far he has not impressed and wants out of edmonton. With that knowledge other gms will make much lower offers as they know he wants out.

Carolina offered a 2nd + a prospect last fall, but they couldn't agree on which prospect. Puljujarvi's value has gone up since then. I think late 1st/ early 2nd is the range.

    We'll see.
