That a big no from Montreal! Primeau hold lot more value then Puljujarvi. Drouin for Nurse would probably a fair deal 1 for 1 making similar money with similar term left.

True, tho as the title says, this trade is to go in the playoff very soon. This trade makes us better right now, might hurt us long term.

How this make us better Puljujarvi might never play a Nhl game anymore. That doesn’t make us better. Nurse for Drouin fix a problem but create a new one. Montreal need to develop their young players and draft well this year. They can use the 2nd round Blues pick or their 3rd round pick if they want to take a shot with Puljujarvi but they won’t trade away a top goalie prospect around the league for a use to wannabe good prospect.

I'm not saying I would do the trade, I'm more in the ''let's be patient'' team. But still, if you have to go in the playoffs tomorrow morning, you better go with Puljujarvi (assuming he does come in NA) and Nurse than with Drouin alone (assuming Primeau is still in the AHL for 2-3 years). You've got two good roster players for one, you fix the LD problem short term, and LW is still our best position depth with Tatar and Domi. We would be a better team tomorrow morning for sure. But again, we might regret with down the road.

Puljujarvi couldn’t play for the Oilers who doesn’t have any depth at wing. He could produced with Mcdavid and Draistail. Why would he have any impact in Montreal? You can’t gave a prospect in Primeau for im and pretend that Montreal are better in the present since Puljujarvi isn’t a Nhl regular. There is no proof that he would be able to be in the roster even in Montreal.

There's 0 chance Montreal trades Primeau. Especially for a guy who refused to play for his team out of spite.
