Description
It's becoming obvious that the Leafs blueline is what it is. There is no magic trade, but rather a right side by committee hoping the left side is strong enough.

The one deal made here, should improve the defensive ability of the 3rd line.

Dermott signs a bridge deal.

Soup signs a one year deal to see how the injury healed.

Lehkonen is being paid 2.4 Million, that's not overpaid for a 3rd liner lol. Wow, nice a 20 goal scorer on one of the top offensive teams in the league.

The idea you're trying to present is that Johnsson is better offensively and Lehkonen is better defensively. And the point is that's wrong

Lehkonen is better at both ends.

Your overvaluing a 3rd liner. He shouldn't be making more than 2mil if he is putting 30 point seasons

Not sure what his line mates have to do with anything.

Also, sorry to tell you, but his linemates were Matthews/Marner/Nylander/Tavares/Kapanen for the first half of the season. It was only in the 3rd quarter of the season when he played with Envall briefly. Keep trying to make **** up to fit your narrative.

Read second paragraph of your post. I don't care about improving the blueline, I'm talking about Montreal not doing the Lehkonen trade.

He had a leg injury prior to his own teammate destroying his knee. He just had a major knee surgery. Another positive for acquiring him.

sorry dude no he hasn't. He played a few games with Matthews and Nylander but that line sucked so they changed it up.
Then johnsson got injured and that all happened
Lehkonen defensive stats are average. He is overpaid if he can't get more than 31 points
