We’ve been over this. Pesce costs Nylander at an absolute minimum.

Carolina, a team with 7 Top 4 D-men, does not need 3 bottom pairing D-men.

People will never agree with a trade that gives the leafs a top4 D-man but I think this one is close in value, if trade Dermott elsewhere for a 2nd and a low level pick or prospect, flip that second and another 2nd with Liljegren and Johnsson (or Kappy but I’d rather Johnsson) for Pesce, now let’s compare that to a real trade, the Muzzin trade

That’s a damned fair trade (an overpay in fact if Pesces contract wasn’t so good) and Carolina is a perfect partner because they have an abundance of D-men

What a horrid trade for the Leafs. Trading four starters including 3 Dmen, two of which are right handed. The absurdity of a RHD and Pesce acquisition has just hit a new absurd standard.
