Description

Hall comes in on a $7.5mil for one year with a full NMC. He takes a one year deal because there aren’t many contending teams with enough cap space to afford a long term 10mil+ AAV because of the salary cap not rising for 2020-21. If Hall takes a one year deal, he could sign a long term deal in 2021-22 for more money than he could get now.

Not trying to sound rude, but why would hall chose NYI over a team like COL, BOS, or even a Canadian team that has as good or better odds of winning?

To be clear, I don’t think this is possible. That said, both COL and BOS already have pretty full top lines, meaning Hall would have 2nd line minutes, and I’d say none of the Canadian teams have a playmaker as good as Barzal. NYI has a fantastic defense and one of the best coaches. Again, I don’t think this would happen from a money perspective, but the Isles have a lot to offer.
