I'd love to see Cirelli or Sergachev in DET but man that trade doesn't even come close. None of the pieces DET is sending have even half the value either of those guys have. Quality > Quantity.

If MTL offer sheeted Mantha it would be after the draft so picks would be 2021-2024 but it wouldn't be 1st because Bergevin isnt giving Mantha an offer sheet for more then he gave Aho.

The $$$$ amount to Sergachev and Cirelli are way too low, as in the trade pieces going to the Lightning.
What is the $$$$ and term you have offered Mantha, that is worth three first rounders? Betcha Mantha does not want to be the French Canadian hero in Montreal. He's not that player. Live a peaceful live in Detroit with a potential good team in the near future.

He gave Aho a $5.9 mil offer sheet, There's zero chance that Yzerman doesn't match that. For Yzerman to take the picks Bergevin would've to offer us a least a 1st+2nd+3rd round picks so that's in the 5 x $8.5 mil range if i'm not mistaken. And Sergachev and Cirelli get far more then what you're offering.

So if mantha did get an offer sheet and you took the picks and flipped them to Tampa you could get sergachev and still have picks left over. It's just moving talent from the front to the back but adding serg, seider, and hopefully a Ufa the blue line is dramatically better. We still aren't scoring any goals.
