Kapanen has so many tools that he can use to be effective player that he is more than just 3rd liner valuewise. Id do Bear + F prospect for Kapanen. But Bear isnt "worth way more than Kapanen".

Dude, Kap is a third liner on the leafs, Bear excelled as a rookie playing top minutes against tough competition. The value isn’t even close. Bear isn’t going anywhere. I used to like Kap till leafs fans overvalued him. Jeeze

If I were EDM, I'd hesitate moving Bear for Kappy, but if Bouchard is able to replace him, then I'd consider it.

Kapanen plays a fantstic two way game, and would be one of the few fowards in the league that could keep up to McJesus. This guy is a 70 point winger if he wasn't buried in Toronto.

I said something similiar about Connor Brown last year, and everyone thought I was off my rocker. 20 minutes a game and suddenly my assessment was right.

Kapanen's production is a product of depth and role bud, his talent is most definitely there.
