No Jesse pretty much himself said his days in Edmonton are over, Honestly it wouldn't shock me if Yzerman doesn't make a move for him. He's the only GM that has scouted him plus the Yzerman Holland connection. Really don't want him in a Wings jersey. But you can't rule it out either.

Non roster players are allowed to be traded post deadline, but would not be eligible to sign and play in the regular season or playoffs. Presumably this is the same in an early June draft scenario, and it sounds like there are opportunities for "handshake deals" that will be completed at a later date, when roster players are eligible to be traded.

The other guy said roster players which is why I was confused.

I would imagine that was a typo, as Puljujarvi isn't a roster player. I wouldn't be surprised though to see trades for "future considerations" that later manifest themselves as roster players.

Just saying guys like Puljujarvi, Honka, probably NCAA guys who wont be signed will be hotter commodities at the early draft.

I also heard that they might be able to, but the player(s) involved won't be allowed to play for the rest of the season.

You could do worse than Puljujarvi. He has insane skills. He was just always a bit out of his element out there.
