Description
Seattle Takes Lemieux as part of the expansion Draft.
Raymond comes over from the SHL after the SHL playoffs in 20-21, plays a handful of games in the AHL so his ELC slides. And breaks camp with the NHL squad in 21-22.
Holloway signs his ELC after 20-21, and starts 21-22 in the AHL.

Lehkonen ends up slightly overpaid as a 4th liner, but is also very moveable on a rather short term deal.

See his previous post. There is talk of a 24 team playoff with the 1-6 from each division being involved. If this happens, only 7 teams miss the playoffs, the Rangers being the highest point total among them, thus the 7th lottery odds and 7th pick.
Honestly, if they go forward with this June draft and lottery based on current standings, it screws the Rangers among the worst - we miss the playoffs and have our slight lottery odds taken away. At least moving into a 7 team lottery is some compensation for a system that would allow 8 teams with lower point totals than us to make the playoffs ahead of us.

I'd be shocked if Raymond falls to 7th he'll easily go top 6 if not top 5 more or less. And currently the Rangers sit at 13th so the most they can climb is to #9 overall and Raymond wont fall that far.

Montreal does want and doesn’t need Strome! They are not spending the 39th pick for Strome this is crystal clear. Montreal have already plenty of centerman and won’t waste draft capital on a players who was terrible for the past 5 season. Not the good partner here.

The premise here is that the Rangers pick 7th, if they give the 7 teams that don’t make the 24 team playoff the first 7 picks in the draft. No, Raymond won’t slide out of the top 8 in all likelihood. If the Rangers do select 7th (again, via this probably hypothetical 24 team playoff format) and Rossi slides to that position, we should snatch him and run away like the fox in the henhouse

The topic about the draft right now is that they will use the % of point per game from each team. This was the latest new so if that the case forget about a top 8 pick. Since they also said that they could use the old system where team can only move up 4 spot in the draft

See the Pt. 1. Under the proposed new 24 team playoff format, Rangers would jump to 7th OA.

      1) See Part 1 and read. Under the new playoff format Rangers would hypothetically jump to 7th OA. And it is 100% totally reasonable for Raymond to be there.

      See part 1. 7 OA.

      Can easily see something like
Laf, Byfield, Stuzle, Drysdale, Rossi, Perfetti go top 6.

And just to clarify. The proposed idea by the NHL is a 24 team playoff with the top 6 from each division according to Point %. (Listed here under Pts %). The remaining 7 teams (Rangers included) would be put into a lottery where the most they can move up is 4 spots (Rangers can only get to 3OA).

7OA seems perfectly reasonable for Raymond. Pronman has Raymond at 7. Button has him at 8. I've seen him anywhere from 4-12. And considering no one had Seider in their top 10 last year, if you're nitpicking Raymond at 7, you probably need to loosen that belt.

Apparently Sanderson is shooting up boards like Seider did last year, so one of those forwards could slide to 9-11 if someone finds themselves desperate for a defenseman or goalie (Askarov)
