While I do not think the Ave's will trade Byram, if they were to I would assume any team would have to give the Avalanche something that can really help then now and not in the future (since they have plenty of futures and they are legit contenders now). They are built the right way (i.e. they're not paying $40 million to 4 forwards). In this case, would the Canadiens have to trade a player with experience, and they do not have one that the Avalanche would really desire, unless they include Domi and their 2020 first? Or Domi, Struble and their 2020 first? That's probably too much. Without calling anyone names (that is a really big ask on this site), what does everyone think?
