I really hope he signs today, but I hope Mtl fans will be patient him he's not gonna have the same impact like Hugues or Makar. I think Mtl should get a top 4 defenseman to bolster the leftside (Gostisbehere or Leddy might be available at a reasonnable price) and also not to put too much pressure on Romanov next season.

Chiarot and Mete are good enough to take top 4 spots but last year the ineffectiveness of our third pairing really killed us most of the time which cause the top 4 to be on the ice for 50+ minutes a game. Bringing in two guys that already play with eachother and that could fight for more than 10 minutes per game will remove pressure from others, in other words they'd have a way bigger impact than the scoresheet shows.

Chiarot played great no doubt but can he repeat it again next season since he mostly played top 6 before in his career? I really hope so. Romanov could be the 3nd pairing to start and eventually switch during the course of the season. For Mete I like his skating and the fact that he can make a good first pass but that's it. That's why I suggested Ghost or Leddy, they played first pair before in their careers and they could both use a change of scenary from their respective teams and I think Mtl could get one of them at something reasonable.

He will but there probably some technicality that involved the resuming of a season that could apply to him.
But Khisamutdinov is a interesting signing. I am anxious to see him in Laval, he have size and a lethal shot.
