This is the 31 in 31 challenge. Do an AGM for each of the 31 teams in 31 days. This forces me to learn more about each team and how the lineups should/could look. To other users please feel free to participate, I'm looking for a challenge to keep me entertained.

Rules: 31 AGM's over 31 days, one for each team. Flat cap at 81.5. One CBO per team.

Please provide any feedback, I'm trying to learn more about each team here.

Edmonton's greatest strength: McDavid-Draisaitl one-two punch

I think Ennis can do better than that after a pretty decent season, and Bear’s probably not going to command close to that number. I have Pulju to Montreal in mine also. AA’s speed seems like something Edmonton should covet if they can come to an agreement on a contract.

There isn't a player you guys have ever had on the blue line as good as Denis Potvin.

Backup goaltender is a weakness, but that's nobody's fault but your own.

Also, why do you hate Matt Benning?

Bear has probably been the most consistent defensemen for the oilers this year. 3.8 mil might be in the ballpark tbh. AA’s defensive stats are atrocious and I will happily have Tierney over AA.

My only other issue is I’d like to see Comrie as a proven backup because I could see the goaltending position as a fatal flaw in this lineup. Maybe make some space for Khudobin or Halak. Who are honestly better than Koskinen statistically. Then you could have a 1A 1B goalie situation.

My version comes out in a few days, but I have them signing Brossoit

Ottawa has an abundance of centers and would likely make that trade. AA is full of untapped potential and is a better goal scorer.

Thanks for the feedback. Ennis and Pysyk here take hometown discounts. AA stinks in Edmonton, they should trade him asap.

Thanks. Seemed like a perfect fit. Comrie has no home in Winnipeg and Benning has no home in Edmonton. Both teams need those holes filled.

Mike Smith is old and highly inconsistent. He isn't the solution in goal. Taking a chance on a promising young goalie is a better option, with the Oilers D Comrie would be fine. I don't hate Matt Benning, but he has no place on this roster as he is much worse than all 7 D on the roster.

Very insightful. The above roster is 10x better than the current lineup so I fail to see how your high IQ comment applies.

First, why are you talking about Mike Smith? He's not under contract for next year, his age and performance have nothing to do with your roster. You had a chance to improve the backup position and yet you chose to make it worse with an unproven young player who has just 8 NHL games to his credit and TERRIBLE results.

Benning has WAY more value than Comrie and is at least the 6th best defenseman on your roster, maybe 5th depending on whether Bouchard is ready or not.

Look at Benning's results before replying. He led the team in GF% and was 2nd in scoring rate.

He's played fewer than 10 games. Relax.

no. Benning is a quite good dman being trade for a bum goalie. Chiasson is trading a bottom 6 depth guy for a random pick. Athanasiou (with his time in EDM so far) has been roughly up to par with Tierney defnesively. and this season Larsson has been far better than Kasperi Kapanen. Lehkonen trade is the only one i'd really consider.
