That Columbus trade is horrid for both team. Columbus has no need for a wing and Schwartz has been good in STL.

In general toronto does not need a player from the blues. If parayko costs that much hard pass.

yeah but here is the thing. Barrie was at the time one of the best offensive RHD and that deal if he could have produced would have been great. 14 goals 45 assists would have been amazing for the leafs. Played on PP1 and was an offensive beast. Sure his time in toronto did not work out as good but hey better than nothing. As for ceci only took him to get rid of that garbage zaitsev contract. 1 year of him was worth it. Honestly leafs dont need bortuzzo we got liligren for bottom pairing duty. Leafs have 1 interest a top 4 RHD to pair with rielly. not bottom pairing nonsense. In general the blues are just not a good trading partner for us as they have nothing we need.

they want a RHD but not bortuzzo u seem to think they are desperate enough for a third pairing guy who probs will be in the pressbox most of the time next year. Truth is we arent. Free agency will provide much better alternatives to bortuzzo and sure they may cost more but leafs can maneuver to accommodate. In general leafs dont need bortuzzo we got liligren for third pairing and if we really have to we can move dermott to the right side and even that is a better option than bortuzzo so we good there. Blues can sell him elsewhere
