I agree. This is very accurate if there is no CBO as well as Shaw and Seabrook playing. Although, I do think Smith and Maatta could be traded somewhere, not for much. Retain on Smith if need be so that 1 mil doesn't carry over the following year as well. Maybe sign Koekkoek so Carlsson isn't the 7th man, getting no games played for his development.

Not true. It was just reported that at a NHL owners meeting the idea was floated but not talked about seriously. Multiple inside sources said it's not off the table but don't bet on a CBO.

Quite realistic. I think Strome gets 3 years and Kubalik gets 2. I’m thinking Maatta could be dealt for picks, his salary isn’t that bad and there are teams that need help on D.
