Yeah... He was the best player on the pens lost consistent line... They were consistently good to... JJ was consistent... Constantly bad, buzzsaw was able to go up against opposing teams top lines and control play, and there was a noticable drop-off when ZAR got hurt, on the team as a whole, ERod is good, but no where near as good as ZAR

I mean he's a very valuable player to us so yeah you'll probably have to give up something good to get him. I understand its ridiculous to want even like a 2nd rounder for him but its also ridiculous to trade one of your best defensive forwards whose on a very reasonable contract when you could just keep him and have the best 4th line in the league. I mean if you really want a 4th liner bad enough that you're complaining about his value why don't you just get someone else from another team who won't cost as much?

Don't get me wrong, ZAR is great defensively and an asset to any team, but it's just getting ridiculous.

The issue with Marner isn’t that he’s small, it’s that he doesn’t have skill or talent.

Last season he was the best purely defensive forward last year. Not talking about being an elite two way forward, talking about purely defensive zone play. Even better than Marcus Foligno who is usually in that conversation.
