Description
If we were to rebuild I think this is how it should go. Hertl can get us a lottery pick. And some extra pieces.

Pick up some young guys that will be in there prime when we would be back to contention.

Get out of Vlasics contract. Pick up some pieces that you could trade at the deadline

Rossi, Jarvis, Dunn, Ferraro, Merkley, Timo, Banker, Dahlen and Chem going forward. And who we would get in the next draft.

    It is a bummer. Hertl gets the most capita. Would buffalo give up that pick for anyone else on our team? Probably no. Hertl is a awesome player. But to get this thing started we would need good picks or high level prospects. He can get both.

    Honestly, unless they can do something about their cap situation, there is no building around Hertl. I don't agree with these moves, but building around Hertl is easier said than done.

    Rossi is a pipedream, What makes you think Buffalo at #7 gets up to Rossi territory at #4 or #5 Detroit probably 100% is getting the #4 pick and they will take Rossi at #4 so you're definitely dealing with the wong team if you want Marco Rossi.

    Yeah I pass on all of those. Id be looking for a top 10 forward prospect like Cozins or Zegras

    Yeah lets ignore the 61 point pace on one of the worst teams in the league and during a heavy injury year. Hertl can easily be a PPG player if you know the player at all

    I'm not ignoring anything. Guy turns 27 this year and has one season more than 46 points. He's a nice player, but he isn't gonna get the return you claim he will.
