According to the people earlier this morning, you should add Marino, Poulin, another 1st and a 2nd.

Would definitely be crazy. Value is there as Guentzel is a legit top line winger who has proven his ability to score in the playoffs. I just feel that this weakens the wings of the forward corp. And considering Barkov's contract is up before Guentzel, if I was Pittsburgh I don't think this trade would be worth it. But a lineup where Sasha Barkov is your third center is scary good.

Difference here is Guentzel is a legitimate top line winger who has won and proven he can produce in the playoffs. Wouldn't need to add here. And this is coming from a Rangers fan. If anything Pittsburgh has less incentive to making a deal like this.

ooooff. While I'd love to add Barkov in the theoretical video game/ACGM land, No Guentzel would mean after Zucker/Rust...who are the wings?
also, would you play him at #3C or move him or Geno to wing?
I don't know how he would get the ice time at #3C.

Not commenting on value or anything... Just saying you must have missed the nearly 30 games where iirc Guentzel led the team in scoring without Crosby

why trade for a guy like Barkov and play him 3C.
        He's a 20+ minute player. He needs a larger role. He doesn't belong as a 3C anywhere.

If the pens traded for barkov why wouldn't they trade malkin for a winger or 2. No reason to have 3 number top line centers on the team

This trade would obviously never happen of course. Just tried to illustrate some fair value

They a get a young 40 goal scorer on a great contract, a starting goalie, and a first. Seems about fair as other comments suggest. Would never happen but value is good
