I don’t understand the deal with Jack Johnson, he’s such a polarizing player. This season, he has been praised highly by the team’s front office and media regarding his play, but there are also fans who believe he is really bad at what he does. Based on what I see watching him game in & game out, JJ has a really hard time moving the puck out of the defensive zone. He’s not very quick or sharp & struggles immensely under pressure. He has trouble defending the front of the net as he always misses out on the guy he’s supposed to mark & gets walked around frequently. It seems most times when he’s on the ice, the team gets stuck in their own end. According to the stats, the team concedes a lopsided percentage of shots & scoring chances when he’s on the ice. I really don’t see how he is good. He shouldn’t continue playing for this team.

He played 1 season with matthews. His previous two years were even better. If hes the best player ever he should be able to score no matter what. Gretzky had terrible linemates an more defensive era and he was still the best player to ever play in the nhl. I know you're trolling but you're doing a terrible job kiddo

Not only is he the best scorer, he’s also the greatest playmaker as he creates space with vision no one has ever seen before. He’s the best at stick handling, deking and dangling past opponents with highlight reel worthy skills. Everything he does is out of this world, there has simply never been a more brilliant player. There should be no more doubts that this guy is number one.

John Tavares is simply not an established NHL player. He failed to guide the Islanders to a single Stanley Cup title, he even struggled to get them consistently into the playoffs. He is not a winner, he can’t lead a team to glory as their number one player. He has no character, no leadership and no talent, he only finds success when carried by players better than him like Auston Matthews and Anders Lee. If Tavares is truly a successful and well respected player, he would’ve stayed with the team that drafted him and got them to victory. There is no way we can call Tavares a star. Can Tavares skate as good as Kane? Nope. Can he stick handle? Nope. Was Tavares the leader in points for this decade? Nope. So what makes Tavares the better player? Huh?
Connor McDavid has been overhyped since his days with the Erie Otters. He hasn’t achieved anything in hockey to prove he is a generational talent. He’s only made the playoffs once in 4 seasons and couldn’t even win the OHL title back in junior when he was carried by Alex DeBrincat. It’s easy to think he’s a great player because of the way he skates but he isn’t capable of doing anything with the puck on his stick. He can’t deke or dangle past anyone and is a liability defensively. Patrick Kane in his prime was miles better than Connor McDavid will ever be.
