Don't see Killorn as a fit in San Jose, I can definitely see him more in Colorado then San Jose. AVs are a lot closer to cup contending then San Jose same with Tampa.
Killorn is a net-front guy with a fantastic redirect. We have two of the best offensive defensemen in the league who both have wicked shots from high in the slot. Combining those to styles of play will net Killorn 30+ goals if he were on our team. I think he opts to go with us.
Also, last I checked, we beat the Avs in Round 2 last year, soooo...
And yes, I feel bad for Tampa, as this was their last best year to compete for the SC. They have a lot of contracts coming due on a lot of young players that will help keep them in contention, but in order to re-sign them they will have to lose some senior pieces. Killorn's contract is the easiest to move.
I don't think the Avs will be in the market because they're already a very complete team with big-money contracts coming due in 2021. They will not make any short-term investments at the cost of long-term gains.
