I dont think the value is that far off but TB rejects this trade. Ultimately, IMO, I think the Bolts would prefer to see some ELC's coming back as opposed to 1 year of a 4th line center. They are up against the cap. Maybe Vesalainen or Gustaffson plus 1st (but then Jets maybe pass??). I also believe if TB was motivated to make this move for salary alleviation (there is no other reason why they would) they would much rather make a move with T. Johnson, Cernak or even Sergachev before they move Cirelli. This kid is a beast! The offer would have to be to good to pass up. Samberg, Harkins and a 1 perhaps (A prospect, roster player and 1st rd pick)
As a Jets fan I would be all over this player being a part of the team. Jets could just offer sheet him; between 6.34 million and 8.45 million compensation is a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd. so offer him 7m x 7!
