Yes but as I’ve told many people, back in 2013-14 we had pacioretty score 39 goals and we finished 21 in the league in goals for. Caufield is great but it takes more than one. I hope we can walk away with at least one sniper, two if possible

You don’t see a sniper in round two. Peterka, Perrault, foerster etc...

Do you think Nashville can be interested in trading up to take Askarov considering that we all think CHI or NJ will jump on him? If i'm Bergevin, i consider to trade down ton max Calgary position.

Nashville has confidence in saros. And if Calgary wants Askarov and we believe that Quinn will be available@ 15 them why not. Get another pick and maybe even trade into the end of the first round.

If Perfetti or Holtz are available at the Habs pick, they get the coveted goal scorer - if it’s Rossi or Lundell maybe even Raymond on the board with those guys then trading down is a possibility for me. It’s very unlikely that teams do a two for for one draft pick such as Nashville trading their 13th and 37th for the Habs 8th - More likely Nashville giving their 13th and 37th for Habs 8th and say 40th (which isn’t much of a move) or 61st (a little better) or Winnipeg giving their 12th and 43 for Habs 8th and 61st or Minny Wild giving up 11 and 42 for Habs 8th and 61st

I mean we don't have to look far for a comparable, last year Arizona gave up 14 and 45 for 11. Montreal already having a deep pool and looking for quality picks over quantity I don't see them trading down except if it's a haul, even this year all prospects from 2017 won't all be signed because of the contract limit.

As explained above. If it's with Nashville it's 13th+37th and maybe a little something, if it's Calgary you don't call except if your offer starts with two 1st rounders. I'm not taking myself out of the top prospect range for bread crumbs and giving up 7 spots at the top of the draft will be pricey. If offers aren't good you take BPA and that's Holtz, Lundell's very good but should be a middle 6 center down the line where Holtz could become a top 6 winger.
