I agree with this list 100%. Unless they get Byfield, I would look at Raymond/Holtz with picks 4. But anyone of Laf or Stutzle and id go with Rossi with the 2nd pick

There no way they Ottawa past on Drysdale at number 4
They have some decent prospect on the right side of their defense with Bernard-Docker and Thomson but both of them have a limited ceiling. Bernard-Docker can be a Chris Phillips 2.0 and Thomson ( is a interesting prospect, got some offensive upside but very unlikely to become a elite defender. Drysdale is projected to be this outstanding 2 way defenseman. They can’t pass on him with the fourth pick.

They can and they will. They need 2 elite forwards. I’d trade for Brodin and roll my pairings like :
Chabot-JBD
Brodin-Brannstrom
Wolanin-Thomson

They certainly can, they have Tkachuk, and not a ton else for high end forwards, Bath, Norris, White, all solid, but high end elite first liners... no, I don't think you're winning a cup with any of those guys as your 1C, plus look at most teams that win, they have a high end 1C, and a 2C that can fill in as a 1C... At 4 you can go Rossi, get that 1C, AND BPA (maybe Raymond, they also don't really have an elite winger aside from Tkachuk, same thing still apply's, BPA if that's who they think is better, and filling a need with a high end winger to play opposite of Tkachuk, or load up the second line)

He played with Hainsey, so they kind of switched around a bit, but it was mostly Brann Flakes Left, Hainsey Right.

Personally, I'd rather Brannstrom play LD. Sens are deeper if they can have Wolanin on the 3rd pair long term.

Tbh I’d be ok going after Pietrangelo if the Sens get 1 and 2. That’d be a fun team quickly

They take two elite forwards with their first two 1st rounders, but they can bring in a solid prospect on defense with their third first round pick. They also have FOUR second round picks to bring in defensemen.

They will likely have one of the first three pick. If not they will have the 4-5th overall pick at worst. They will probably get their first line center in Byfield or Stutzle and pick Drysdale with the other pick. The only scenario that Ottawa isn’t selecting Drysdale if it’s they pick up two time in the top 3.

They don’t past on Drysdale. They past on him only if they get two pick in the top 3. Unless that they pick drysdale with one pick.

Sens are already signing Artyom "The Next Bobby Orr" Zub. Spending 10mil on Pietrangelo would just be redundant.

More like the next Zaitsev.
As long as the Sens dont draft a LHD in the top 35, i think theres not much they can do wrong this draft. As long as they dont take Askarov with the top 2 picks

My preference would be for two of the elite forwards with the first two picks, preferably a C and W. Then with the NYI 1st and the OTT 2nd, I want at least one, or preferably two of Schneider, Grans, Barron or Viro.

Id look to move up into the 18-20 range again.
Take 2 of Laf, Byfield, Raymond, Holtz, Rossi, Stutzle.
Then one of Grans, Schneider, Barron, Viro.
Then one of Mercer, Quinn, Jarvis, Foerster, Gunler

As much as I love some of those forwards, I generally don't think there's value in trading up, at least not in pick for pick deals. The expected value of a given pick from the last 1st to early 3rd really tapers off and there's not that big of a difference. Data generally suggests that you're better off just having more shots.

Maybe if you find a deal where you trade a roster player you're looking at moving anyway, and you're able to turn a late 2nd into a late 1st, then that's something I'd look at.
