Why would sharks do that? Ferraro is very promising, younger, cheaper and makes more sense for us

Farabee isn't ready for top 6 minutes and JVR has been very solid this season.

Swap JVR with farabee and thats probably the best 4th line in the league by miles

I like Ferraro a ton but I don't think he'll ever turn out to be what Gostisbehere once was. I think Gostisbehere can still reach what he once was, but it won't be in Philadelphia. Would understand why Ferraro wouldn't be traded, but he's a player I'd really like to snag.

Nah Sundqvist is really good and I don't think Rubstov will really crack it out in Philadelphia. He's ready to compete for an NHL roster, but I don't think he'll be a steady player in Philadelphia.

The thing is the sharks dont need an offensive D at all. Ferraro is great for us because hes a workhorse who can break out and play his zone, I dont even know where we would play Ghost as he cant cover for Burns or Karlsson

Not a huge fan of JVR. He's not very good at spacing when he enters the zone and he's not really strong on the forecheck or backcheck.
Can always swap Laughton and Farabee and still have four effective lines.

That's a fair point. Unless you knew about him when he was at UMass or are a San Jose fan, he flies under the radar for his talent and hustle. I don't see him ever becoming a top-pair defender, but I understand why it makes sense for the Sharks to hang on to him. Always love to watch him play.

Yeah I knew about him a little at UMass but I always heard he was the hardest working guy on the ice and that is 100% true

Yeah he's an absolute stud when it comes to work ethic. Backcheck, gap closes, speed to corners for loose pucks. Always sprints up on any breakout and can still get back to defend. He gets boxed out every now and then but that's expected.

Eh, I don't really think Laughton is a top 6 forward, and Farabee isn't ready for that role yet.
