Hence why I put Sanheim in the 7th spot! You can't just throw all our young guys in at once and expect to be competitive. Shultz is a decent stay at home D-man especially for $2.25 mil. Streit we can do exactly what we did with Timonen and he can help our young guys, especially Provorov and Ghost since he is offensive minded! You people really need to think about the locker room and not just young vs. old.

DirtyDangles. You are correct. There will be "lots" of high priced contracts....and some good players available for the Vegans.
Even PK Subban was traded for a bad contract and that was all the Habs could get. Maybe Nashville won't like Subban and his 9m a year and would leave him exposed too.

Sanhiem as the 7th how is he gonna learn the skill and toughness of the nhl sitting in the press box gaining experience. That's like saying I can train to run a marathon by sitting on the couch.
I didn't say I don't agree with having experience cos I do but it has to be the right experience. You need someone whos been there and won it not players that have very rarely made it to the conference finals once or twice in there 15 yr career. That's only experience to loose, and I do believe streit was never a teen or in his young 20s in the nhl, he cannot relate to a young kid in the nhl cos he was never there himself.
You need the experience at the number 7 so they can come in and settle things down if the youngsters do get in a rough patch and to cover for injuries.
Sanhiem won't be getting any experience sitting in the press box hell be better off in the ahl playing competitive games

I will say I think you are spot on for leaving Voracek exposed. That is unless he scores 80 points this year, but even then that contract is going to kill them in 3 years.

Ya I would like Shattenkirk (likely unrealistic anyways) but we could get by and save by resigning Del Zotto for like $3 mil
