If you get Domi, why would you then dowgrade him for Kapanen and a 3rd?

Domi pouted in montreal when he played wing this season and again because he was not playing with the best wingers . I do not like players with a me me me to attitude . Domi is not a better center then JT and i have really high hopes for Dach . Domi does not backcheck well enough if at all . I preferred a young winger with term .

Agree 100%. Domi is black and white worth more then Kap and Koekko being worth a 4th or 5th rounder doesn't balance this out....dumb move to ultimately move Strome for a Kap because in the above lineup, that's what it is translated to.

Juulsen is also coming over . Lehkonen is getting you poolparty . plus a 2nd and 2 3rd round picks . and your also dumping zack smiths and Maatta contracts and Kapanen can be a 45 to 60 point winger

Maata is not a dumb, Kampf is not a dump and Smith can be bought out for a cheap $1M....you're paying a hefty price to dump Smith. Not to mention you have Nylander on the top line which tells me you don't watch much of the games.

To add to that, you now have Boqvist, Murphy, Mitchell, Juulssen, Vatannen, Regula (look him up, he's a 2021/2022 good prospect) all fighting for the right side D. Then on left side you have Keith, De Haan, Carlsson, beaudin, Krys (2021/2022), Vlasic (2021/2022) fighting for the left side. Somehow, you've managed to create even a bigger defensive logjam outside of the top line without adding to the top line.

Not trying to be a dick and apologies for being direct, but clearly you don't know the players/prospects to suggest this as a successful scenario.

Juulsen is not a sure bet by any means. Poolparty is not a sure bet...in fact, this is about the only website that hypes poolparty so much. Maatta is not a dump he's a very cheap buyout and a very serviceable #5 guy with any team with cap space. Smith is a cheap buyout. Kap is 24 years old this summer, 5th year in the league, and never has put up 45 points. I like him, but not at the cost of Strome and picking up Juulsen.

Dehaan and murphy can be moved out after this year for the younger guys if mitchell , beaudin , boqvist progress enough . some of these guys wont pan out some will be traded

I agree that Maatta is a solid number five and a number 4 in a pinch . Your forgetting the pics involved . Strome is not a checking center and is not a defencive center and is not strong on face offs . this is why he was moved to the wing for a dozen games this year and carpenter was playing as the 3rd center . assuming dach takes over as 2nd line center can you see strome being an effective 3rd line checking center ?? and with the hawks being tight against the cap getting rid of maattas 4 mil and smiths 3.25 and not having to pay strome 4 million or more to play 3rd line checking center is a big thing . I like Kampf and his contract is good for what he brings but you tell me where does he fit in . spezza and brassard on 1 and 2 year deals are to bridge until kurashev , barrett , entwistle etc are ready .
