I got to keep repeating myself for one he has a NMC and two why would we trade our captain right after naming him captain. It would make our organization look like a joke and ufa's would avoid us as we would be the organization known for naming captains then trading them in the same time frame.

The only one of the big 4 I'd consider touchable is Marner.

Ok, so why sign Clifford only to trade for Foligno. Why trade for Dumba who is worse than Barrie. You now have two scrappers and a defenseman that you don’t need. Leafs need a proper shutdown guy like Manson Hjalmarsson or Parayko

It's not a thought it's a fact. And its not a slight over pay its a huge one. I wouldn't have had to trade him because I wouldn't have given him such a bad contract to begin with.

You need to realize that everyone probably including you were critizing the Leafs for the contract signed by Nylander last year but now everyone is saying it is okay. If Marner continues to trend upward and produces 100 points a year are you really going to continue to say his contract is a massive over payment.

I never criticized the Nylander signing... I said "wow he got him for under 7M good job Dubas".

For the Matthews signing I said "he should have gotten 6 years."

For the Marner contract I said "bro what are you doing?" :'(

You will be eating your words about Marner when the Leafs win a Stanley Cup in the near future and Marner proves you wrong like he has every other critic over his entire career.
