why would we want those 2 this is where ottawa's logic is flawed in the rebuild. Teams need veterans to keep the young kids motivated. Borwiecki and Ryan should stay in ottawa and help mentor the kids. Using toronto as an example Muzzin, marleau, and Spezza have done wonders for the leafs and sure marleau is gone but he helped matthews and marner develop and settle in to the nhl. As for those trades toronto would pass on ryan and possibly take Borowiecki but probs give just a third for him.

good thing he is gone keefe honestly has the best philosophy in any new coach, on top of that our coach for the PP was one of the best in the league and babcock apparently ignored his advice to put nylander on pp1. Keefe follows his advice immediately and for a while the leafs pp was first in the league . In general Babcock made the other coaches jobs a living hell and honestly this improvement under keefe was no coincidence. Sure babcock was good the first 2 years but after that he became predictable.
