The point was ret-con'ing the loss of Pavs. Really just an exercise in proof.

But if we're entertaining your theory for a sec, I don't fully agree. Benn is basically the face of the franchise, and a key player in Dallas' locker room. Pavs is a new guy. An excellent addition for sure, but still not a key employee.

Benn's contract is brutal. 5 more years after this one at a 9.5M cap hit and a NMC. Also there won't be a buyout unless the cap stays the same or goes down.

As for the discussion i side with you that pavs would be the buyout. Benn is a good player and also their captain. You don’t buyout your captain.
I would also like to find a trade for banker for right had d-man.

Thanks! Ours is a cautionary tale, you don't come off a heater and then sellout your team captain! We deserve our locker room discord and incohesiveness. Dallas should not make the mistake we did.

I also like EK65, but, frankly, we never needed him for our lineup. We needed another elite forward and a 1B goalie to take the pressure off Joner!
