I really like the idea of Galchenyuk on DET

DeMelo will get more but the rest looks good

Trust any decent Habs fan... Galchenyuk CANNOT play centre. This is coming from someone who liked watching him play for years. He has tremendous skill and hands, he can be useful on the PP and has an underrated release. But he's a middle-6 winger.
You might hear otherwise - and I've heard it all: "If only Montreal had developed him better," or "If only he'd been left at centre to grow his game," or "well he was drafted as a centre..."
He played the majority of his games in Montreal at centre (except for the last season) and it was ugly.
He was one of the most entertaining players in Montreal during his stay, but he's a complete idiot when it comes to anything remotely related to defense.
If you're thinking: 'well that's the price to pay for his offense'. Trust me, it's not worth it.
Except, if you want Detroit to once again get the best lottery odds.
