i like the value for each deal but only the first one makes sense for MTL
the 2nd trade is to much quantity with all MTL's value relying on ARZ first round pick being a high one .
Given they now have Goaltending figured out and Offense is starting to get deep they're 1 solid top 4 RD from being a actual playoff team and not just squeaking in.
This means the odds of getting a high quality 1st are low.
If its me i want Fischer a 22 year old RW to help bolster depth on RW after losing Gallagher
Fischer,Armia and Lavoie on RW will give MTL options going forward
Fischer,Westerlund, 1st round pick and a 3rd .
The real upside here is Fischer helps us short term with our depth but has a chance to step up and earn a bigger role like Armia has.
Westerlund needs another year or 2 but is a puck moving RD who's likely to become a #4-5 Defensman at best and a #6 at worst with his ability to gain entry into the OZ being what stands out about him .
