And even then EDM isn't moving Kassian so...¨
And if they move Larsson they must get a roster player or two back

Ok a player or two for Larsson? Maybe Neilson and Abdelkader.

Habs don't need another LW or a young center, they would like a top-4 D like Nurse for example. Besides Gallagher would not be available; Tatar is a realistic option.

man this is terrible
there will most likely be a cbo so get russell out of there
chaisson and khaira arent worth a third and a fifth, more like a fifth and a sixth
Personal opinion but i would keep koshkinen
I would take arcibald over poolparty becuase archi can play solid pk
Dont know why red wings would want larsson and kassian, they are still rebuilding
Montreal wont take a -46 dude

These picks will have no relevance to the team for at least or 3 years, if they make it all. Do you know that the likelihood of these picks being a regular NHL player is around 12-15%? Depending on the team, real NHL players are more important than picks, especially when they have several. Larsson would be the best Dman in Detroit.

Compliance buyouts, Edm looking to clear salary, not looking for players

Lavoie is a RW, not a C.

Drouin would be a compliance buy-out. The cheaper, better scoring AA takes his spot.

If Gallagher wants he can return after 1 season, this would be a good haul for the Have.

there will most likely be a cbo so get russell out of there - Did it
chaisson and khaira arent worth a third and a fifth, more like a fifth and a sixth - A top NHL PP unit player and Cup champion + Top NHL PKer are worth it, especially with so many draft picks to use
Personal opinion but i would keep koshkinen - Lehner is much younger and much better, Halak is better and cheaper
I would take arcibald over poolparty becuase archi can play solid pk - Replaced Arch with 2 better and cheaper PKers
Dont know why red wings would want larsson and kassian, they are still rebuilding
Montreal wont take a -46 dude

Really?
Already bought out Russell, did you look?
Chiasson net front presence on historical PP unit, versatile and Cup Champion means something to a young team and coaches/GMs. Khaira was a top PKer, these players are worth it, especially when they have plenty of of to spare
Lehner is younger and better, Khodobin is better and cheaper
Replaced Archibald with cheaper and better PKers. JP averaged more than 6.5 shots per game in Liiga, he had nearly 100 more shots than the 2nd most guy in the League. He scored 12 goals as an 18 year old rookie, same number as JA's best. He is 6'4" and flies and he is only 22, Archibald was 26 when he played his first full season what do you want on your team?
Toughness, experience and leadership, Yzerman knows this stuff
AA's old GM traded for him, he scored 30 goals last year. He is better and cheaper than Drouin

Kassian is from Windsor, it across the bridge from Detroit. In this scenario Edm is clearing, no players wanted

Yzerman is building through the draft so yes those picks are more important to Detroit than Larsson and Kassian. Detroit would resign Daley before trading for Larsson and he isn't that good. A rebuilding is going to trade picks for a 30 it makes no sense. Plus I like what I've seen from Ryan O'Riley so far. This is a very lopsided trade and it won't happen.

Do you see how I can reply without double quoting? You should try it.

Yzerman also knows what players like Larsson are worth to young teams. Draft picks of course are important, but 90% never play an NHL game, actual proven NHL players are more important and Detroit is overflowing with picks and prospects, but not so much in the actual NHL department: they can easily and comfortably afford this.

Trevor Daley is 9 years older than Larsson and hasn't played a full season in 4 yrs. Larsson would be the best Dman in Detroit, in fact Toronto was willing to trade a 1st rounder for him this season. That might hold a clue about how good he is.

Larsson is 27, Kassian is 29, Kassian, who is a very fast player (this will be something he will still be able to do in his last season) is 4 years younger than 7 current roster players, so that's another pretty weak argument.

Lopsided? LOL, reminds me of the argument you made about AA's value a few weeks before the trade, lol. I was pretty close on that one, but you laughed then too.....

Also, Ryan O'Rielly was ranked by knowledgable Wings bloggers as the 24th prospect and even this assessment got a lot of criticism. He is very low on their prospect totem pole actually, which is why I picked him. I probably should have gone for Joe Veleno instead....but he's not looking very good as a prospect so far, either.

You've got a criticism for everything don't you? Sorry about my sentence structure and use of punctuation.

First of all, I meant to say that there will only be one cbo so you use it for neal and leave russell out. I agree with your judgement of chaisson but not khaira, Khaira is a terrible player, he's too slow, he's a liabilty in even strength and the play dies whenever the puck is on his hand. Another thing is that he lost his top pk role to shenhan and archibald( because they are more effective)

I dont think if you have noticed but poolparty plays in the finnish league, A league that is really similar to the echl, so by stating the fact that he averages 6.5 per game means nothing

First, just so you know I am a hardcore Oilers and hockey fan and I know every single Oilers player and prospect very well. I watch AHL, ECHL, Jr, College and Euro league games. I haven't missed an Oilers game in 10 years. I also know the NHL very well, so this is my version of what a Stanley Cup team looks like.

So you know, given the economic impacts, there is a very real possibility of 2 CBO's, this is being seriously considered, so this roster reflects that possibility.

Khaira struggled a lot this season but was playing much better the last 3-5 weeks. He is a much better player than he showed this season in fact was playing 4C his last few games. Despite his struggles he was a very consistent and reliable PKer with RNH on the second unit, this and his ability to play bottom 6 C is where his value is.

Liiga is superior to the ECHL and is a low scoring league. Any player that averages 3 shots per game in any league is a dominant player. To lead any league in shooting by such a margin simply means he is a very good player. He is still very very young and that also is very important to remember. As much as I like Archibald, he will be out of the league in 3 years and JP will be at least a 50 point NHL player, so a top 50 player in the NHL.
