If he was on a fair contract he probably would. I get the sense out of him that he doesn't put 100% in every night, and ideally is a 2nd liner that should be paid in the 4-5M range. He's fallen short of what he was expected to be.

Panarin tends to do that to players.

He was underrated when he was in Columbus. He has fallen short of expectations in Nashville, especially in recent years. If anything he's overrated. Not a 1st line center even though he's paid like one.

Dubois was still really good this year? Sure he production took a bit of a hit without Panarin but he was still on pace to clear 20 goals and flirt with 60 points. That's definitely a good young player.

Last season, everybody was talking about him... Aside from this season he's had lots of coverage throughout the NHL. Even as a CBJ player.

This is just ignorant. Dubois is still a really good player. He might not be as flashy as say McDavid, but he's a guy who's hard to play against. Knocking a fast 6'4 top line center is unreal. Your team would love to have him.

he’s outproduced by their 3C (Bonino), who...
-plays in much tougher defensive situations
-against much tougher talent
-with much worse linemates
-and for HALF the Cap Hit
