Don’t see Pittsburgh giving up a 1st. Most I see is a change of scenery type player trade.

I'd much rather just play guys like Harkins and Poolman over old UFAs like Spezza and Braun. Probably need to pay DeMelo about $1M more.

Trade is unreasonable and most of the contracts are below market value - and the salary cap is questionable at this point unfortunately

niku's potential is high risk high reward , cant really see pitts taking the risk at the stage they r now

There's no way they're getting a 1st for Niku, I think he can make the team if he can stay healthy.
Braun is 33, no thanks, Spezza isn't leaving Ontario, Greiss is 34, also no thanks, better to just keep Brossoit or even better maybe Berdin steals Helly's job and they trade Helly for a sweet return... 😃

Demelo is gonna cost more than that, hopefully they can get him signed. Don't mind the Brodie signing, it's been established on here by Wild fans that Granlund isn't a center so he doesn't seem like an option, I think they should sign Haula, he'd be an okay 2C and hopefully Roslovic can still grow into that role at some point.

If Niku was traded it would not be for a 1st. A 2nd maybe but thats a stretch. Probs a third is the safest bet. Spezza is probs staying with the leafs or as under keefe he has flourished and become a fan favorite. Or he may play his final year in ottawa.
