No way montreal would give up on its first rounder just after two season.
He's been passed on the depth chart and most MTL fans have him in the AHL next year. If he's 5th or 6th on the depth chart I think moving him is a reasonable consideration.

you dont get a second for benning and a third for chaisson, more like a third and a fifth.
Maybe not, but I think it's been established that Benning is worth a 2nd - from his draft year he's 41st in GP, 43rd in points and 9th in +/-. His career 5v5 goal differential is 158-129 (55.05%), and he's been above 50% every season. In a re-draft he'd go somewhere in the 30-40 range - early 2nd round. I'm trading him for a late 2nd round pick due to the depth of the draft. The only reason he might go for less is his concussion history.
I don't know what Chiasson is worth, but he has scored at least 12 goals per 82 games in each of the past 4 seasons with 3 different teams and you don't often get those guys for just a 5th. Since joining the Oilers his 33 goals and 62 points rank him 4th among Oilers forwards. Thirty-three goals is 131st among all forwards in the league, his 62 points rank him 176th. If there are 93 first line forwards and 93 second line forwards (186 forwards in the top-6), Chiasson's point production is top-6 even though he played the majority of his minutes in the bottom-6. And all he's worth to you is a 5th?

Why would you sign Mike green when you have lagesson who can easily be a 7th dman
I like Lagesson a lot and agree he's capable of playing 3rd pairing / 7th man, but he shoots left. On the right side I have 2 of 3 spots being held be a rookie and a sophomore, I think Holland will want some veteran cover for those players.

You have to pay benning 1.9 mil or more because of his qualifing offer
Actually Benning's QO is $2M, equal to his 2019-20 salary. I'm betting he'll be willing to trade some AAV for term: having a 3 x $1.5M deal gives him a lot more security than a 1 x $2M contract.
