Kakko as a 2nd overall pick did just that with playing quite erratic season. Wouldn't be surprised if Byfield does that as well.

How is it an erratic season? He's been playing with Lemieux and Howden for the majority of the year, what did you expect?

That will be a very strong team in 2021-2022, even if you don't get both Byfield and Stutzle.

P.S. What's hilarious about this construction is that as shown, you'd be below the cap floor!

Honestly I did expect him to be semi close to what Laine did back in his debut year, since his statistics were better back in Finnish Liiga. Granted the expectations were high, but he hasn't been as good as I thought he would be.

Imo it's a waste of time using him in the 3rd line. He should've been relegated to AHL a long time ago.
