Don't see Tampa accepting that offer. They would definitely ask for someone like a Kravtsov or a K'andre miller in return and they absolutely should ask if you are Tampa

I haven’t worked things that far ahead but my assumption is that there would be enough to at least bridge them with the money coming off the books from Lundqvist, Staal, Smith and all the buyouts.

Gauthier, Howden and Lindgren will be easily cost controlled by restricted free agency, and Chytil hasn’t shown enough to warrant more than a modest bridge deal at this point also.

Trading Trouba makes sense but his cap number is going to remove a lot of potential landing spots. Investing 2 years and Derek Stepan into DeAngelo just to unload him would be tough. And who are we going to get that is any more cost controlled in trade? My line of thinking is get him under contract, and if we have a surplus on defense in 2-3 years when Miller, Lundkvist, Jones and Robertson are all ready, DeAngelo becomes a very attractive trade target around the league and he’s already under contract for his prime years.

Andersson is a freaking joke, Andersson as a main piece for Cirelli would never happen. julien Brisebois and blocks Gortons number.no need for Tampa o make that deal.

I made a trade proposal this morning of Sergachev for Kravtsov and a 2nd and a Rangers fan said it was a bad deal lol. Sergachev is also worth more than Cirelli.

Sergachev for Kravstov and a 2nd is totally fair...obviously not all fans of a team think the same way. I don’t think we need Sergachev, Cirelli is a much better fit based on need and organizational depth. Unless TB can get someone to take at least one of Johnson, Gourde or Killorn they just aren’t going to have the cap space to sign all their rfa’s and fill out their roster.

I think most of us realize we made out great on the Spooner trade but don’t believe the guy is worth what he is going to be able to negotiate for his next contract. He’s been filling the scoresheet while riding Panarin’s coattails and a crazy high shooting percentage. Even the last dozen or so games before the freeze he was terrible; taking lots of penalties, losing faceoffs left and right and not producing anything at 5v5. We are probably ok with a one year arbitration award deal, but don’t want to get sucked into a long term deal with him and have the same remorse Tampa has with 3-4 of their $5m+ forwards that just aren’t worth their contracts.

Kravtsov and a 2nd for sergachev or Cirelli is totally fair. Not saying Cirelli is Bergeron but he is that type of player and unfortunately it is going to cost any team to pry him from Tampa's grasp. I would prefer Cirelli over Sergachev just based on our need for a 2nd line center, do not think strome is the answer. Love what he is done and i hope he gets paid somewhere but just don't believe it is here.
