There is very likely to be a cbo if the cap remains flat or goes down. Locking one of the best goaltenders up long term is not destroying the team by far. The ntc’s are what they are, they were fair contracts when signed and the ntcs helped keep the value where Yzerman and JBB wanted it. Neither Cirelli nor Sergachev are going anywhere. Tampa will keep their rfa’s on reasonable bridge deals since these players are happy here and understand how Tampa works in order to keep one of the top teams in the league going year after year. With a flat cap plus the cbo of Gourde Tampa can make a 21 or 22 man roster work without too much difficulty.
