If Ottawa gets 2nd and 3rd, I'd look at trading back with the 3rd overall pick. If a team like Anaheim really felt they needed Stutzle, it could be worth them trading the 5th and 31st picks to move up.

Also I agree that the Sens should target an RHD with the NYI 1st, but there are better options than Justin Barron. I think Braden Schneider would be the best available option at that pick, but there are other options too.

I'd only be willing to trade back to the 5th spot if Drysdale was still available. But I doubt the Kings would pass on him at 4.

For me there are 5 tiers

Top tier: Lafreniere
2nd tier: Byfield + Stutzle
3rd tier: Drysdale
4th tier: Rossi + Askarov
5th tier: Everyone else in top 10

Big drop off to everyone else in the first 2 rounds.

I agree with your 2nd point. Schneider would be a good option as well. I just wanted to say pick a RHD at that pick. I think it would be nice if they could target a defensive D man but those guys usually go later in the draft because they are less likely to have their skills translate at the NHL level.

Lucas Raymond is super close to the Byfield/Stutzle tier. He'd be who I'd take at 5th if they traded back.

For me the tiers are

Tier 1: Lafreniere
Tier 2: Byfield/Stutzle
Tier 3: Raymond/Rossi
Tier 4: Drysdale/Perfetti/Holtz

Yeah Ottawa’s draft plan would be to get a centre and winger with top 2 picks and then take a D man and maybe a forward with the Isles 1st and their 33rd overall

I think they should take the best players available with the top 2 picks doesn't really matter their positition. Ottawa needs everything.

NOPE. Ottawa do not need LHDs, goaltending prospects or centres that arent projected to be 1st line centres. We do need elite or point producing wingers, and one solid all around RHD as well as a #1C
