Montreal has mountains of cap space, a lot of money, and aren't really contending or anything like that right now. Shoring up their backup goaltending for a year would be a sound decision.

I mean Mete and Domi are coming off expiring contracts and probably both expecting decent raises. It could work for them, but there are definitely better fits. Spending 15 mil on goalies is kind of frowned upon by most lmao. Either way, that doesn't really affect this post too much, but just thought I'd give my two cents
