if u sign him longer than 5 sure but edmonton is right up against the cap and it aint moving so signing him for 5 would be risky especially when they need to resign (Benning, Ennis, Athanasiou, and a new backup goaltender) among other depth pieces.

option 2 u can trade bear to toronto and probs get defenseman like dermott or liligren and either johnsson or kerfoot and a potential 2nd. wont need to stress in signing him and u get some guys who will sign cheaper and possibly longer
