Colorado either buys out Erik Johnson or doesnt buy out anyone.
Columbus buys out Dubinsky if he comes back and Wennberg if Dubinsky is LTIRed
Florida is tough to gauge but it could be between Bob, Yandle or Stralman. I chose the one with the longest term but wouldnt be surprised if its one of the D men.
Rangers could be between Lundqvist, Staal and Smith (all 3 have 1 year left) but buying out Lundqvist allows them to re-sign Georgiev and also Lundqvist has the highest cap.
Ottawa was between Zaitsev and Ryan but i see Zaitsev as a block on our young guys and has more term so picked him.
Philly would either buyout Voracek or JVR but i see them not doing anything.
San Jose was hard to choose between Jones and Vlasic, they probably still value Vlasic for now so itll likely be Jones but the term on Vlasic makes it tempting to pick him.
St Louis - between Steen and Bozak , was tempting to pick Bozak just because of that extra year but still chose Steen
Vegas doesnt really have anyone to buy out, maybe Statsny?
Even still over the last 3 years he ranks 42nd among center in points, while have a revolving door of wingers. His most consistent winger has been DeBrusk and he's a streaky player himself.
They should be able to trade their CBO for picks/prospects to a team that wants two. That would make things interesting.
True, but there are very few teams that need TWO buyouts: Tampa Bay certainly, maybe Vancouver (Eriksson and Sutter), maybe Detroit (Nielsen and Abdelkader, but Stevie Y is loath to trade away picks) -- who else?

Yes, those are theoretically possible. I don't think Botterill can admit to an egregious misjudgment about Skinner just as Tallon can't do that with Bobrovsky. LA needs to use buyouts only if the roster slots are considered critical, which I don't think they are. New Jersey is so far down the salary table that they can afford to pay Subban to eat nachos for 82 games next year. Ladd may be LTIR, but if not, that's the strongest possibility of your list. Nevertheless, despite my opinions, you could be right about all of them. We'll have to see!
Rask isn't actually a problem for Minnesota though. He's overpaid sure, but $4m doesn't kill their cap space and he was useful at times this season as an injury fill-in.

Zuccarello is only a year into a deal that's already looking like a mistake because he doesn't really fit, but Guerin could probably get a pass from ownership only because Fenton signed him. Suter isn't going anywhere imo, he'll come pretty close to playing out his contract.
