Description
Seth Jones is one of the best Dmen in the league. Just look what happened to Columbus when he got hurt. Columbus may say no to this trade for that reason. They may say yes to this trade since marner is signed a lot longer than Jones. And Dermott is a solid Dman (not even close to jones though)
They get lucky and sign Petro
Ship 2 serviceable forwards to Edmonton - I think this trade makes a lot of sense for EDM (They would have to clear cap in a trade with another team I would assume)
LAK deal is since Clifford resigns
Min trade - Min gets a centre who is currently underperforming for their contract and a nice pick. Leafs get a big winger for their bottom 6. Maybe Leafs add a bit more? Depends on how Wennbergs value is perceived.

This team is disgusting. Best DCorp, Amazing top 6, BIG bottom 6, solid goaltending. Somehow fits with cap if it stays the same.

Agreed and I think Marner has a TON of value. Jones is just next level. I assumed Wennberg had negative value in this scenario and that Dermott added more value. How far off would this be? I would or could add a pick or a high end prospect. Like Lily.

Which I took into account when making the trade smile. Not sure if Columbus would do this trade, Maybe the leafs add Lily also. It is an interesting concept none the less smile

Its a good trade. We prob have to add a little more but Columbus wanted Marner in the off season and rn he has more term than Jones

Columbus needs a center... not more wings... Columbus declines because moving Jones for anything but a 1st line center isn’t worth it for them.

toronto does not need Dumba. jones is better defensively which would be the reason for toronto acquiring him

Wennberg isn’t doing good but he’s still young & a former 1st Round pick, so he may have more value than we think.
