If Petry wanted out it would be for CHI or PIT who is the only team close enough with the pieces to be a contender that might be able to make the cap work to out bid MTL
TML , OTT,DET, BUF, nor CBJ are in the position to offer Petry what he wants .

i say its MTL PIT and CHI in the bid for Petry and if MTL wants him we got the cap to over pay
i think Petry takes less for a full NMC though as he's happy in MTL where he's already #16 All Time Defensive Scoring and climbing past Rivet,Souray and Desjardins to get there .

With Romanov coming , Harris ahead of Schedule having a great year , Norlinder being top Prospect in in the SHL's version of the AHL , Struble called up a year early to play in NCAA after their roster faced a year ending injury and on top of that our long shot LD are playing well to . we over drafted on LD but that's fine as long as we dont rush them and make them earn their spots .

all 3 RD are capable PP performers giving us options on PP while our LD are reliable PK guys and a rookie with real potential to help on PP
He's have Size but most important we'd have Hitting , Shot Blocking and most important more Special Teams options capable of handling the additional minutes if Weber gets injured again (like every other year)

Bergevin wants to keep Petry and sign him ASAP, so I doubt Petry is leaving plus he loves it in MTL
